This is a tentative schedule of events during World Cup. Times given are local to Cologne. The language of the event will be english. "Speeches" and presentations of the programme will be translated into other language by some members of the KOA; the friday sessions will be host on a Restaurant, Saturday and Sunday session will be hosted on the game room. Game Room will be used for presentations of new games and other events.
Tentative Programme
- Friday: In the afternoon we will first build up all the Amigas and make up the WC room. We will start with the seeding on Friday evening (around 19:30), most likely in the WC-Room as it will be too loud in the pubs. Afterwards we will go to some place in the city and have a drink or two and/or go to eat something together. We will most likely do a reservation, as the city is going to be crowded! Those who want to party will have the best opportunity to do so!
- Saturday: Day 1 of the World Cup. As some people will arrive on Saturday the start of the WC is in the early afternoon, later is not possible as time will be too short. We are going to meet at 12:30 with the welcome in the WC Room, and start at around 13:30 with the Qualification-Round. The games are expected to end at about 20:00.
- Sunday: Day 2 of the World Cup. Because some people want to be at home on Sunday evening, the Final Round and the KOA-Cup are going to start at 10:00, but we will meet at 09:30 in the WC-Room. There will be a Lunchbreak at 12:00 (about 1 hour), where we can eat in the hotels restaurant (5€ for buffet). The Final will be played at about 17:00 and the offical part will end at about 18:00.
Additional Events
There will be a number of Social events at the KO Gathering -- including trips to local attractions, tours of the city and several parties. So if you want to be part of the whole fun, you should come friday afternoon/evening and leave sunday night or even on monday. If you do not have the time, come latest at 12:30 on saturday and try to stay until 18:00 on sunday, although the official games for most players (those not qualified for the Quarter Final) will end at about 15:30.
